The Cosmograph Daytona is the chronograph that turned into a status symbol without ever stopping being a stopwatch. This one is the Everose gold version, 40mm across and 12.4mm thick, with a black ceramic bezel and a tachymeter scale for old school speed math. The dial is what sets it apart. Not white, not black, but a warm ivory, and this is the printing collectors know as the APH dial - there is a slightly wider gap before the last three letters of COSMOGRAPH, so it reads almost as COSMOGR APH. Most people will never notice it. The ones who do tend to care a lot. Line indices and a clean subdial layout keep the whole thing easy to read. Inside is the Rolex calibre 4130, built for accuracy and a long service life, with 72 hours of power reserve. Screw down crown, sapphire crystal, luminous hands and indices for reading the time in the dark. It sits on a black leather strap with a rose gold fold clasp, dressy enough for dinner and sporty enough for a Sunday drive.
