The 44 mm case is crafted from Ceratanium, IWC's proprietary material that combines titanium's lightweight strength with ceramic's scratch resistance through a zirconia oxide surface treatment. The result is matte black, skin-friendly, and incredibly tough. At the heart sits the Calibre 79420 with a split-seconds rattrapante complication, meaning you can time two events simultaneously with independent chronograph hands. Built on a modified Valjoux 7750 architecture with IWC's rattrapante module, the movement features 345 components, 29 jewels, and a soft-iron inner case for anti-magnetic protection. The all-black aesthetic extends to the dial with luminous grey hands and indices, day and date display at 3 o'clock, and a tachymeter bezel. The black rubber strap with textile inlay uses the EasX-CHANGE quick-release system and Ceratanium pin buckle.
