Vintage Strela The Soviet Space Chronograph – cal. 3017, Serviced

The watch is a Strela (“СТРЕЛА”) Chronograph dated to the 60s and made by 1.MWF/Первый Московский часовой завод (1МЧЗ), which later on became POLJOT. This is the exact model that the pilots from the Soviet Air Forces (BBC) were using during the Cold War on their flights and not only that but the Soviet Cosmonauts (Astronauts) took to the outer space. It is powered by the cal. 3017 column wheel movement. The case measures 36.3 mm and 45.5 mm lug to lug. Overall the condition is very good – the case shows some normal wear and it has been professionally serviced in 01.2020 (dial and hands have been replaced during that) – it is now looking good and ticking as it should. Comes on a brown racing leather strap.
