Rolex Datejust 36 Gold & Steel ref. 116203 – 2010, Champagne (Gold) dial, Full set, Polished

Created in 1945, the Datejust was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date at 3 o’clock. Its timeless aesthetic has since had an enormous cultural impact and, along with its revolutionary features, has elevated it to the status of a horological icon.
To put it simply, the Datejust is the seminal classic watch.
The example on offer here – ref. 116203 – dates to 2010 and might very well be one of the classiest and most pure iterations of the iconic model available today. It comes equipped with an elegant 36 mm Oyster case, which expertly combines the versatility of steel and the glamorous luster of 18k yellow gold. The dial features a delicate sunburst texture and is adorned with applied golden indices, whose rectangular design contrasts the smooth bezel. The latter is fashioned out of 18k Gold, as are the crown and bracelet center links. Of course, the emblematic cyclops date magnifier also makes an appearance, tastefully disrupting the dial’s symmetry and tying the overall design together perfectly.
The ref. 116203 is powered by the renowned caliber 3135 – a certified superlative chronometer.
Our offering is in superb condition – has just been polished in 01.2021 by the master watchmaker at Atelier Grande Complication and is now looking amazing. Ticking per specs and comes in a full set of boxes and papers. Please note – The Rolex card is dated 01.2010, but a previous owner made a stupid attempt to change the 2010 to 2018. Otherwise – full set and perfect condition.
