Roger Dubuis Excalibur Double Tourbillon Retrograde ref. EX45 01 5 N1.67A in Rose Gold, MoP dial – Full set, Serviced in 2018

The Excalibur Double Tourbillon by Roger Dubuis – ref. EX45 01 5 N1.67A – is a pure-blooded horological masterpiece through and through. As its mythical name implies, it is a mighty, highly complex timing machine with two Flying Tourbillon complications and a Retrograde display allocated to the minutes. It’s powered by the Roger Dubuis caliber RD01, which was handbuilt entirely in-house by some of the finest artisans working in watchmaking today. Encasing it is an 18k rose gold case that measures 46.5 mm and has an empowering weight about it, which doesn’t at all take away from its ergonomic design. The case’s finishing is easily on par with even the most impressive achievements of Haute horology. On the caseback, there are three see-through windows – two of them reveal the tourbillon cages, and the third is allocated to the power reserve display. The stunning Mother of Pearl dial showcases the two tourbillons and features a retrograde minute function, which counts the minutes from 0 to 60, resetting to 0 with a vigorous jump once it has reached 60. The beautiful guard plays very well into the piece’s aggressive geometry, but it does also serve a very practical purpose – it protects the oversized crown. To access the latter you just need to flip the guard up. Limited edition – only 28 pieces made in Rose Gold.
Our offering is in excellent condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with its brown OEM leather strap. (The set also includes a worn black OEM leather strap). The watch was serviced by RD Authorized Dealership in 2018 and is ticking perfectly.
