The partnership between Oris, the independent Swiss watch manufacturer, and the Williams F1 team has resulted in an array of exceptional timepieces, which draw inspiration from the British racing team’s long-standing history and impressive achievements. Introduced in 2018, the TT1 Day Date 42 embodies the power, performance, and precision of Formula 1, and it makes it easy to understand how Oris came to be team Williams’ longest-sanding partner.
The TT1 Day Date comes equipped with a sleek stainless steel case, which measures 42 mm in diameter and is water-resistant up to 100 meters. Outfitted with a sturdy bracelet, the watch was designed to provide both comfort and versatility. The segmented black dial is protected by a double-domed AR-coated crystal, and it comes adorned with applied steel indices and broad hour and minute hands. The seconds hand, conversely, thins down toward its end and proudly displays the signature Williams blue. The dial’s sporty symmetry is only – and barely – disrupted by the stealthy date and weekday display at the 3 o’clock position. Inside, the Oris Cal. 735 – an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW 200 – is ticking steadily.
