OMEGA takes its maritime legacy very seriously, and rightly so – ever since the Seamaster was introduced in 1948, the brand has been at the very forefront of deep-water timekeeping and sporty-yet-dapper aesthetics. Тhe Planet Ocean line is a relatively young branch of the Seamaster family tree, and as such, it showcases only the latest in dive watch design.
This iteration of the model combines the capabilities of the Seamaster with a chronograph complication, resulting in a rather compelling tool watch. Not only does it come with a WR rating of 300 m – courtesy of the helium escape valve – but it also features a 30-minute register at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour register at 6 o’clock, and a small seconds register at 9 o’clock. The lacquer dial and diving bezel come in a deep blue, with bright red flourishes serving as a beautiful contrast. Underneath, the familiar-looking case measures 44 mm in diameter and features a solid caseback that proudly showcases the seahorse Seamaster logo.
