Omega De Ville Prestige Co-Axial Chronometer 39.5 Power Reserve indicator ref. 424.13.40.21.02.002 – NEW

With all the noise around Omega’s sports watches, it’s easy to forget that divers and chronographs aren’t what made the brand famous. As a matter of fact, the universally-celebrated Seamaster started life as a decidedly dressier timepiece, and so did its more luxurious variation – the Seamaster De Ville. Due to the transformation of the Seamaster, however, Omega decided to assign the De Ville name to a more refined and elegant collection of timepieces, and thus the De Ville Prestige line came to embody all the qualities that the Seamaster no longer could.
The De Ville Prestige ref. 424.13.40.21.02.002 features a sun-brushed silvery opaline dial with red gold-colored Roman numeral hour markers and polished cabochons. The slender sword-shaped hands are quite reminiscent of those on vintage Seamaster models, as is the stainless steel case with its simple lines and sleek silhouette. The date display is positioned at 3 o’clock, just opposite the small seconds register, and a handsome power-reserve indicator can be found at the 6 o’clock position. Inside, the in-house caliber 2627 is ticking steadily away.
