Franck Muller might be one of the younger brands in the world of Haute Horlogerie, but it has already achieved a level of success few other brands can boast.
When watchmaker Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes, then a case maker, started their company in 1991, the two men agreed it would specialize in watches that render historical complications in modern and spectacular ways. The aesthetic side of their work was of equal importance to them, so the designs the duo came up with proved just as exciting as what lay underneath. Today, their Curvex case architecture is no less emblematic than those of the Cartier Tank, the Reverso, and the Panerai Luminor.
The Conquistador on offer here also follows the Curvex architecture, but its square case makes for a more masculine, cosmopolitan look compared to the Cintrée. The polished steel of the case suits the suburst silvery dial wonderfully and lends the watch an air of nobility. The red flourishes of the minute track and the chronograph hand tie everything together perfectly, while the stylized Muller numerals make it impossible to mistake this watch for any other. The dial’s layout is flawlessly symmetrical, with the blued leaf hands serving as a pleasing contrast. Since it is domed and curved along its sides, the hand-finished crystal plays into the watch’s sleek, smooth profile, enhancing its elegant demeanor.
Inside, behind the solid caseback, the automatic caliber FM 1185 is confidently ticking away.
Our offering is in excellent condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with a brand new OEM black rubber strap. Ticking per specs.
