A worthy successor to the legacy of its older Royal Oak brother, the Offshore is an experience that is hard to put into words – and that’s a good thing. The model represents a deep yearning for the future, as did its predecessor, but its design looks to the past – to its rich history and the legacy it’s part of – with the highest respect. Unsurprisingly, the Offshore Chronograph Havana has been meticulously toiled over until the very essence of perfection was attained. Every surface, seen or unseen, has received the utmost care and attention, resulting in a level of finishing that challenges perception. The cigar-leaf brown Méga Tappisserie dial defies reality with its flawlessness, as do its beige Arabic numeral indices and pink gold hands. The complex geometry of the case, meanwhile, gives the watch a four-dimensional presence, which its numerous beveled edges and iconic octagonal bezel expertly soften. The cherry on top would have to be the integrated leather bracelet – it complements the brown dial in both color and texture and ties the design together wonderfully. At the center of it all is the cal. 3126/3840 movement, which seems to come alive when wound, evoking the image of a mighty engine.
Our offering is in superb condition and comes in a full set of boxes and papers, currently equipped with the all-new RubberB SwimSkin Esspresso-Brown Aligator strap, but it also includes the OEM leather strap.
