A worthy successor to the legacy of its older Royal Oak brother, the Offshore Chronograph is an experience that is hard to put into words – and that’s a good thing. Much like its predecessor, the model represents a deep yearning for the future, but it nevertheless looks to the past, to the rich history it is part of, with the highest respect.
The ref 26400IO.OO.A004CA.01 on offer here measures 44 mm in diameter, is fashioned from titanium with a bezel, pushers, and crown clad in extra-hard black ceramic, and features a slate grey Mega Tappiserie dial. The latter’s flawless texture backdrops a set of applied rhodium indices and hands, which contrast the black-and-grey theme of the case and rubber strap. The red flourishes on the chronograph and subdial hands tie everything together neatly.
Behind the titanium and sapphire display caseback, the in-house caliber 3126/3840 is ticking accurately away.
