Porsche Design
The Porsche Design division for watches was founded in 1972 by Dr. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the grandson of the founder of the Porsche automobile company. The division was created to produce high-quality, functional, and innovative watches that were inspired by the design and engineering of Porsche cars.
In 1972, Porsche Design launched its first watch, the Chronograph I, which was designed with a minimalistic and functional aesthetic. This watch became an instant classic and set the tone for the brand’s future collections.
Over the years, Porsche Design has continued to release a range of innovative and high-quality timepieces, including the Ocean 2000 dive watch, the Worldtimer watch, and the Chronograph Titanium. The brand has also collaborated with other luxury brands, such as Breitling and Hublot, to produce limited edition watches.
Today, Porsche Design is known for its technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to innovation in the world of luxury watches.
