Girard-Perregaux
The Girard-Perregaux watch company was founded in 1791 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Jean-François Bautte. In the 19th century, the company gained recognition for its high-quality pocket watches and chronometers. In the 1950s, Girard-Perregaux introduced its first wristwatches, including the iconic Sea Hawk dive watch. In the 1970s, the company began producing its own in-house movements and continued to innovate with new materials and technologies. Today, Girard-Perregaux is known for its luxury timepieces, which are often adorned with intricate complications and high-end finishes.
