While brands like Rolex and Omega have garnered recognition that has made them known to practically everybody inside and outside watch enthusiasts’ circles, there’s a family of brands that have remained less popular yet more sought after by truly discerning watch connoisseurs. The watch on offer here belongs to one such brand – Jaeger-LeCoultre. Ever since Antoine LeCoultre made horological history by creating the first instrument to measure the micron in 1884, JLC hasn’t stopped innovating, all the while keeping to the highest standards in Swiss watchmaking. Since it has a history of producing high-quality movements, parts, and tools for brands such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe, the company is popularly referred to as the watchmaker’s watchmaker. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor comes equipped with a large titanium case, whose finish is a mix between fine hairlines and bead blasted surfaces. The dial is black with luminous dart indexes and Arabic half-hour numerals, subsidiary dials for the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, apertures for the date and the seconds, and an outermost pulsometer scale. The watch is very sporty in both appearance and function, as features such as the alpha hands, oversized pushers and crown, and 1000m depth-rating will readily testify. It is powered by the in-house cal. 752 – a 41 jewel rhodium-plated, fausses-côtes decorated chronograph movement, which features a straight-line lever escapement and a self-compensating flat balance spring. Ticking perfectly, with last known service in 2018 according to previous owner. Our offering is in great condition and comes on its original titanium bracelet, with box and operational manual.
The watch is covered by 6 months of limited warranty, starting on the day of the purchase.
