Nicolet Watch SA
Nicolet was a Swiss watch brand founded in Tramelan in 1914 by Charles Nicolet. In 1937, Nicolet Watch SA was incorporated as a successor to Charles Nicolet’s business and began focusing on precision watches, including chronographs. By 1940, the company was exporting movements to America. In 1964, Nicolet Watch SA celebrated its 50th anniversary. In the 1960s, the company used several brands, including Nicolet, Transmarine, Saturne, “N”, and Aster. By 1970, most of the Tramelan watch factories, including Nicolet Watch SA, had merged into the holding company Cominter SA, which operated until the early 1980s.
