Citizen
The Citizen Watch Company was founded in 1918 in Japan, originally under the name Shokosha Watch Research Institute. The company’s first product was a wristwatch called the Citizen, which was released in 1924. Over the years, Citizen has released a variety of timepieces, including mechanical watches, quartz watches, and radio-controlled watches. In the 1970s, the company introduced its Eco-Drive technology, which allows watches to be powered by light rather than a battery. Today, Citizen is known for producing affordable quality, innovative watches for a variety of markets.
