Description
This Mido Multifort Superautomatic Powerwind is dated to the 50s. It has the cal. 00916P movement in it – the double 0 represent the size – 10.5 Lignes (23.686mm), then is the caliber and the R at the end stand for the special edition extra quality version. It has been professionally serviced, cleaned and oiled and ticking strong. It is a super small piece compared to the modern day watches – measures 28.2 mm in diameter, but still was a military worn piece, popular with the airman as seen in the original advert (used as a prop in the photos). Condition – it is a worn piece and there is some wear here and there – minor scratches on the case and the caseback – nothing major. Superb untouched dial in the military colors from those years. Still has the original crown, was fitted with a brand new crystal though – makes the dial look even sharper. Comes on a period correct Flex-Let stretch bracelet.
Please note that in the macroshots everything looks a lot bigger and almost none of the imperfections (if any) are visible with naked eye in real life.
