Bulova Accutron Astronaut GMT from 1968 – Full set, Branded bracelet

The watch is a highly collectable Bulova Accutron from 1968. It bears a lot of history – it is a real astronaut watch – the Bulova electric Accutron watch movement was chosen to be used in all the NASA spacecrafts instrument panel clocks and the official time keeping mechanisms for missions in the 60’s and 70’s. Also it is known for its ties with the CIA secret super fast aircraft project – the Lockheed A-12 (the SR-71 Blackbird predecessor) – the watch was worn on wrists of all its pilots. Our offering is very sought after – it is definitely a worn piece, but with no deep scratches and never polished. It comes in full set with box and papers. The movement is the Accutron tuning fork cal. 214. The watch is dated to 1968 from the serial and the papers are stamped from 1972.
