Rolex Yacht-Master II 44mm Regatta Yachttimer 116680 Full set NEW 5y warranty

20,499

The Yacht-Master hasn’t proved itself to be the most popular Rolex model – instead polarizing critics and enthusiasts alike – but it is undoubtedly one of the most unusual watches in the brand’s lineup. The one on offer here – ref. 116680 – is certainly very different from what we’ve learned to expect from Rolex, but it does testify to the manufacturer’s rich and varied lexicon of design.
This version of the Yacht-Master features one of the rarest (and most niche) complications out there, the Regatta Timer, which lets the skipper of a yacht determine when they are allowed to set off. You see, boats can’t hover at the starting line quite like cars can, so the skipper needs a reliable way to plan the movement of his vessel after the countdown has commenced. Not only does this complication give the ref. 116680 a very grand and unapologetic look, but it also makes it one of the most technically complex Rolexes out there. Couple that with a larger-than-life size of 44 mm – which will nevertheless fit smaller wrists well thanks to the curved lugs – and a familiar-looking yet enhanced case design, and you’ve got yourself one hell of an empowering watch. Outfitted with a comfortable Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock safety clasp, there’s no better timepiece to make you feel like the kind of guy who might at any given time find himself in a boat race.
The Rolex Yachtmaster is powered by the in-house 4161 – a programmable flyback regatta timer with mechanical memory and on-the-fly synchronization.
Our offering is brand new, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and has 5 years of warranty remaining.
