Vintage Universal Genève Small Seconds ref. 209506/1 with cal. 330 – Serviced

To write a three-sentence introduction to Universal Geneve is akin to summarizing half the history of horology in a single paragraph. Suffice it to say that the pillars of modern watchmaking have Universal Geneve written all over them. The 1950s and 1960s were especially prosperous for the Swiss manufacturer, who had by then established a diverse, ever-expanding portfolio unified under the banner of fine craftsmanship and horological excellence.

The watch on offer here dates to the early 1950s and is in very good condition. It has never been redialed, polished, or otherwise tampered with, and it features only original parts. Not that one is needed, but the case serves as a testament to the level of craftsmanship we’re talking about here – as you might know, steel cases were exceedingly infrequent in the 1940s and 1950s, employed only by the most devoted of manufacturers because they were so difficult to make. The dial showcases some very pleasing patina, yet the golden indices glimmer as brightly as ever.
Inside, the in-house Universal cal. 330 is ticking confidently away. It was just serviced by our watchmaker in 08.2022 and is keeping good time.
The watch comes outfitted with a quality leather strap.

Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase.
