While brands like Rolex and Omega have garnered acclaim that has made them known to practically everyone, there’s a family of manufacturers that have remained somewhat less popular yet are just as highly valued – if not more so – by many enthusiasts. The watch on offer here was made by the very head of that family – Jaeger-LeCoultre. Due to its history of creating high-quality movements, parts, and tools for the likes of Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe, JLC is often referred to as “the watchmaker’s watchmaker”.
In a show of horological mastery, the watch on offer here presents us with a functional array of complications encased in a thin sliver of steel.
More specifically, the small seconds display shares the dial with a power reserve indicator and a date subdial, lending it a very cosmopolitan look. However, as elegant as the Master Ultra Thin is, even the classiest of designs needs a little bite, which is generously supplied by the sword-shaped hour and minute hands and the dagger indices.
The in-house caliber 938 that powers this remarkable timepiece is proudly showcased by the exhibition caseback. It boasts 41 jewels and a power reserve of 43 hours, among other things. The “Master Control 1000 Hours” engraved into the rotor refers to the stringent tests that the automatic movement has gone through.
Our offering is in very good condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with a quality OEM leather strap. Ticking per specs.
Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase.
