Of course, some things never change – like both brands’ devotion to fine craftsmanship and exciting aesthetics – but the design of the Mark VI strays farther away from the established Breitling design language than most of their models dare to.
From crown to caseback, the watch is strongly reminiscent of an exotic car, and its many details lend it a luxurious aspect that rivals the eponymous machine that inspired it.
The dial incorporates a dashboard-like layout backdropped by a beautiful dark blue, the case is sleek and sharp – topped by a palpable decorative bezel – and the OEM leather strap suits them perfectly. The bold sword hands convey a feeling of aggression without overpowering the elegant demeanor of the piece, which is a good thing because the Mark VI is one classy beast!
