Description
This Sicura Globetrotter GMT is dated to 70s, just before Sicura bailed out Breitling in the dark days of the quartz crisis. It has the EB 8800 manual wind movement in it – professionally serviced, cleaned and oiled and ticking strong. The watch is fairly good condition for its age – a worn piece, but still looking good. Branded screwed-down caseback, graduated rotating fancy yellow and blue bezel, hooded lugs, black dial with radium-coated round indexes and Arabic numerals, outer black rings with 28 cities around the world printed, date window. With the GMT rings and hands it shows the time in Europe, GMT (England) and New York City – the outer bezel is rotated in such a way that the right time in every time zone can be calculated. White seconds hand, lumed minutes and hour hands, two black hands showing the GMT and NYT difference with white and red arrows. There is a chip on the crystal on 5-a clock – not that irritating, but still a pretty deep one. Comes on a new black Racing style genuine Leather strap.
Please note, that in the macroshots everything looks a lot bigger and almost none of the imperfections (if any) are visible with naked eye in real life. Also keep in mind that those are vintage watches and time keeping is not guaranteed – our pieces are professionally serviced, but there might be some wear on the movements.
