The Ball Watch Company started making watches in 1891, and it has been upholding the most demanding benchmarks of accuracy and reliability ever since. Couple that with a history closely linked to the American railways and throw in a remarkable quality-to-price ratio, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a deal.
This Limited Edition version of Ball’s flagship, the Fireman, comes equipped with a 43 mm steel case covered in black PVD, which ensures excellent scratch and wear resistance, on top of lending it an awesome look. Storm chasing – or the act of pursuing an extreme weather phenomenon such as a tornado in order to document and study it – is quite the demanding task, and the Stormchaser Pro is just the timepiece for the job. Its dial is not only beautiful, but its texture also provides the perfect backdrop for the Arabic numeral indices, which are made up of micro tubes filled with tritium gas that emit a glow weaker than that of traditional lume but one that isn’t going to need any sunlight whatsoever in the next 50 years or so. The red flourishes across the dial further easy legibility, as do the broad baton hands and contrasting subdials.
Inside, tucked away behind the embossed caseback, the Ball caliber RR1402 is ticking confidently away, unaffected by the comings and goings of the outside world.
Our offering is brand new, comes equipped with its original leather strap and is in a full set of boxes and papers (warranty not stamped).
