Rolex Submariner Date ref. 16610 – 2008, Full set, Serviced & Never polished

Backed by more than a hundred years of history, Rolex is easily the most recognizable and celebrated watch manufacturer in the world. What’s more, its timeless Submariner is one of, if not the most iconic design ever conceived in watchmaking. Introduced in 1953, it was the first wristwatch waterproof to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). As any knowledgeable enthusiasts would confirm, the model has since served as a benchmark among diver’s wristwatches.
The watch on offer here is a rather rare version of the Submariner. This model was only produced in 2008 and, as the engraved rehault indicates, served as a transition between vintage and modern Submariner generations. It sports a black aluminum bezel, an old-school Oyster case, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a date magnifier, a.k.a. a cyclops. Backdropped by a black dial, the distinctive hour markers and hands provide legibility regardless of light conditions.
The Rolex Submariner Date ref. 16610 is powered by the in-house caliber 3135 – a 31-jewel high-beat automatic movement that boasts a power reserve of 48 hours, as well as a reputation of infallible reliability. It was just serviced by our master watchmaker and is ticking accurately.
Our offering is in very good condition – has some very tiny scratches on the glass around the 3 o’clock marker and some normal wear hairpins on the case. Comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is equipped with its original Oyster bracelet.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
