OMEGA takes its maritime legacy very seriously, and rightly so.
Ever since the Seamaster’s introduction at the end of the 1940s, the brand has been at the very forefront of deepwater timekeeping and sporty-but-dapper aesthetics. It’s precisely these years of tradition and experience that have shaped the modern face of Omega, earning the manufacturer nearly universal acclaim along the way.
The watch on offer here, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, made its debut at Baselworld 2018. It was the first model to bring back the wave dial after a years-long hiatus, as well as the first one to incorporate the Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8800. As you can tell by our photos, it comes equipped with a familiar-looking 42 mm steel case topped with a richly blue ceramic bezel, which shows no signs of wear thanks to ceramics’ scratch-resistant properties. The chrome-colored dial is also fashioned out of ceramic, and it is laser-engraved with the iconic wave pattern, adorned with applied rhodium indices filled with SuperLuminova, and features stylish skeletonized sword hands – yet another of the brand’s visual staples. The dial also showcases a fine wave patern, which pops out in certain lighting – say, under the dim lights of a bar or underwater – transforming the look of the watch.
As befits a professional diving instrument of this caliber, the Diver 300M comes outfitted with a screw-down crown and features a conic Helium Valve and a high-contrast white enamel diving scale. The Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 that powers this beautiful timepiece is protected by a wave-edged exhibition caseback secured by a Naiad lock. Our offering is in excellent condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with its OEM bracelet.
