The Presence, despite its name, is a rather understated traditional timepiece that draws inspiration from Longines’ century-long history. Its old-timey aesthetic is backed by a thoroughly cutting-edge construction and finish, however, making it tough enough for a daily driver – one versatile enough not to baby. Its dimensions, on the other hand, dictate that it will slide under any cuff but still complement most forms of attire when out on display. The dial is restrained and classic, adorned with Roman numerals and a small-seconds display at 6 o’clock, both not-so-gently interrupted by a rectangular date window. The gold-colored 38.5 mm case that houses the dial perfectly complements it in both shape and color, and their combined color palette makes it possible to throw on any variety of straps.
Inside, proudly displayed by the sapphire caseback, the Longines Calibre L615.2 is ticking patiently away.
