Description

This Strela СТРЕЛА Chronograph is dated to the early 60s and was made by 1.MWF/Первый Московский часовой завод (1 МЧЗ), which later on became POLJOT. The serial number is 11845 which makes it a very early and highly collectable one – 1st generation Strela made from 1959 till 1963. Interesting about those early СТРЕЛА branded chronographs is that they were only available to the Soviet Air Forces (BBC), the Soviet Cosmonauts (Astronauts) and very few higher ranking officials. This watch has the cal. 3017 movement in it – professionally serviced – cleaned and oiled and ticking super strong, performing over 300° and +-6 sec. All the chronograph functions work perfectly. Everything on the watch is original – has some visible wear here and there – the dial has some patina, the case some marks, but it is a true work horse and it did and is still doing it’s job perfectly. On a period correct fabric NATO/Zulu strap, that suits the watch nicely.
Please note that in the macroshots everything looks a lot bigger and almost none of the imperfections (if any) are visible with naked eye in real life.
