Cartier Calibre de Cartier 42 ref. 3299 – Polished per OEM Specs, Blue Sapphire Crown

Cartier – dubbed “King of Jewelers, Jeweler of Kings” – was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, who in 1899 handed the company down to his three sons. After they had established it internationally, it didn’t take long for them to turn their attention to watchmaking, for which they had long harbored a passion. Many of the creations crafted under their stewardship have turned into contemporary icons, such as the Santos (1904) – one of the first wristwatches – the Tortue (1912), and the Tank (1919). They were succeeded by many other emblematic models, including the Pasha, the Santos 100, the Ballon Bleu, and the Calibre.
The watch on offer here – the ref. 3299 Calibre de Cartier – takes all that made its predecessor great and polishes it to perfection. A delicately finished stainless steel case that follows the wrist’s natural curvature frames a refined, white-on-black dial. The latter features a striking raised circular motif and is adorned by a combination of Roman numerals and stick indices, with the additional ornamentation of the date display and the small-seconds subdial spicing things up even further. Despite its free-spirited design, however, the watch gives off a classic vibe strongly reminiscent of its predecessors.
Inside, proudly displayed by the sapphire caseback, the Cartier cal. 1904-PS MC is ticking tranquility away.
Our offering is in excellent condition – just polished per OEM specs, comes with its original box, and is outfitted with its original leather strap. Ticking per specs.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
