Rolex Datejust 36 Everose Gold & Steel ref. 126201 – 2019, Full set, Slate Roman Diamond dial

Created in 1945, the Datejust was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date at the 3 o’clock position. Its pioneering aesthetic has had an enormous cultural impact and, along with its revolutionary features, has elevated the model to the status of a horological icon. To put it plainly, the Datejust is the seminal classic watch.
The example on offer here – ref. 126201 – represents a contemporary interpretation of the timeless classical.
The watch comes equipped with a 36 mm Oystersteel case, which provides water resistance down to 100m (330 feet), and a domed mirror-polished Everose gold bezel paired with an Everose gold Twinlock crown. The so-dubbed Slate dial is adorned with Everose gold Roman indices, with the VI and IX set with 24 flawless diamonds, which capture the light coming through the sapphire crystal. The dial gets its name from the masterful brushed finish that defuses the light and lends it a subtle glow. The only disturbance to the its otherwise perfect symmetry is brought on by the Cyclops-magnified date display at 3 o’clock. Thanks to the new concealed attachment system, the Everose Rolesor Jubilee bracelet transitions seamlessly into the case, making for a very dapper look.
The ref. 126201 is powered by the latest generation caliber 3235 self-winding movement, which boasts a power reserve of 70 hours.
Our offering is in excellent condition and comes in a full set of boxes and papers.
