Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Squadra GMT Chronograph ref. 230.8.45 – Box & Papers

Created to be worn during Polo matches, the Reverso is a wholly unique timepiece both in terms of aesthetics and in terms of functionality. Flipping its case over was once intended as a way to protect the dial during play, but it is rarely (if ever) used for that purpose nowadays. Nevertheless, watch enthusiasts have not fallen out of love with it. Quite the contrary – the Reverso is more beloved today than it has ever been!
The particular model on offer here – the Squadra Chronograph GMT – is a bold and masculine watch, with a bulky case fashioned from polished stainless steel and boasting a water resistance rating of 50 meters. Upon first inspection of the silvered guilloché dial, one might miss the inconspicuous GMT complication, but a second glance reveals that the sub-dial at 6 o’clock is indeed a second timezone indicator and not a small seconds display. All the functions are controlled from the crown save for the chronograph, which is operated via the pushers. The baton hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLuminova for enhanced low-light visibility, and the date display comes in a contrasting white on black.
Flipping the case over doesn’t reveal a solid steel caseback this time around, but instead, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 754 that powers the Squadra Chronograph GMT. This 39-jewel mechanical self-winding movement features 296 individual components, boasts a power reserve of 65 hours, and operates at 28,800 vph.
Our offering is in excellent condition and comes with its original box and warranty card. Ticking very good.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
