Ball Engineer III Endurance 1917 Classic Chronometer Limited edition in Gray ref. NM2182C-S4C-GY – NEW

BALL launched the Engineer III Endurance as a tribute to Sir Ernest Shackleton, who led three separate expeditions to the Antarctic. The model gets its name from the ship used during the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition – the Endurance – and it pays homage to the struggles Shackleton and his team were faced with during the voyage. These included camping on the sea ice after their ship had been crushed and traversing 720 nautical miles in their lifeboats after the ice had disintegrated underneath them – a stormy adventure that would later become Shackleton’s most famous exploit.
The limited-edition 1917 Chronometer comes equipped with a 40 mm stainless steel case, whose design combines classical elegance and confident masculinity, evoking a simpler era in watchmaking – one that the century-old Ball Watch Co is more than well-acquainted with. The sleek stainless steel bracelet complements the case’s fine hairline finish, while the polished bezel contrasts it and so serves as an aesthetic centerpiece. The beautiful matte gray dial, meanwhile, serves as a lovely backdrop for the tritium-tube hour markers and hands, whose piercing green glow ensures perfect legibility regardless of lighting conditions and independent of sunlight. A day & date display at the 3 o’clock position tastefully disrupts the watch’s symmetry and further underlines its classic look. Inside, behind the thematically stamped caseback, the BALL caliber RR1102-C is confidently ticking away.
Our offering is brand new and comes in a full set of boxes and papers.

The watch is covered by 2 years of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
