Rolex Oysterdate Precision 34 ref. 6694 – Unique Brushed dial, 1972, Very fresh

A close relative to both the Oyster Perpetual and the Air King, the Oysterdate Precision made its debut in the 1960s and was produced through the end of the 80s. It was to be a versatile everyday timepiece that could hold its own when dressed up, so Rolex opted for a refined minimalist design that prioritizes functionality. The Precision is considered by many to be the best gateway to the world vintage Rolex, and its distinctive charm still has a hold over enthusiasts’ hearts 40 years after the model went out of production. The watch on offer here, the ref 6694, makes it easy to see why that is.
Equipped with a sleek Oyster case paired with a smooth bezel, the Oysterdate Precision ref. 6694 is undoubtedly a sexy watch. One would assume that it wears too small for most wrists at its 34 mm in diameter, but its balanced proportions offset its size and make for a surprisingly contemporary fit. The beautiful dial, meanwhile, serves as the aesthetic centerpiece of the watch, thanks to its detailed craftsmanship. It features a horizontal linen-like texture, applied steel indices, and pointed baton hands. Of course, the recognizable cyclops-magnified date display also makes an appearance, tying the design together wonderfully.
The ref. 6694 is powered by the in-house cal. 1215 – a 17-jewel manually-wound movement that operates at 21600 bph and boasts a power reserve of 40 hours.
Our offering is in very good condition (shows some normal wear) and comes outfitted with its original Oyster bracelet. Ticking well.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
