Founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, Switzerland, Chopard is best known for its high-end watches and masterfully-crafted jewelry. The brand’s modern collections somewhat blur the line between the two, however, resulting in a splendid array of novel and exciting timepieces. The Chopard Imperiale on offer here is the perfect example.
It comes outfitted with an 18k rose gold case with a cabochon amethyst set in the crown and four cabochon amethysts set in the sides of the lugs. The warm brown dial features applied rose gold Roman numeral indices as well as pointed stick ones and matches the tobacco-brown leather strap. The inner minute track provides excellent legibility, while the rose gold sword hands tie the design together beautifully.
