In 2019, Rolex updated its GMT-Master II collection with an array of new features, including a new movement. As a direct consequence, the ref. 116710BLNR – referred to as the “Batman” because of its distinctive blue and black Cerachrom bezel – has become one of the most desired watches of 2019/2020. Whereas the previous iteration of the model came on a three-link Oyster bracelet, the new 126710 generation Rolex GMT-Master II comes equipped with an all-steel jubilee bracelet. The 126710’s case is also machined differently and has some slightly different angles to it. Despite not having undergone any changes, the bidirectional Cerachrom bezel looks as stunning as the day it was announced. The dial, indices, and hands are also as perfect as ever and every surface has been finished to perfection – not that there was ever any doubt. The 126710 is powered by the in-house caliber 3285, which carries Rolex’s own “Superlative Chronometer” rating. It still operates at 4Hz, but it now comes with 70 hours of power reserve – the only difference most wearers will notice. The watch on offer here is in very good condition and only has a few hairpins to be found – mainly on the clasp – it would polish to perfection when the time comes. Comes as watch only.
