You know that Bvlgari’s watch design department is helmed by Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani. You know of his army of 300 master-watchmakers and of their superb facilities, where over 30 in-house movements are currently produced. And of course, you know that Gerald Genta didn’t design watches for just about anybody.

The Assioma Chronograph is one of the best pieces to encapsulate Bvlgari’s horological philosophy. That is to say that its design, although not the work of the late Genta, feels like something he would have smiled upon. The attention to detail is staggering, with a style that evades any description other than classically contemporary. However, don’t be fooled – the Assiomas’s excellence extends beyond its mere appearance. Inside, an ETA cal. 2894 – modified and decorated by Bvlgari – is ticking steadily away.
