Vintage Eberhard & Co. Oversized Pre-Extrafort Chronograph Monopusher with cal. 1600 – Serviced

The watch is an early Eberhard Chronograph in an oversized 40 mm case from the mid-late 30s. It predates the famous Extra-Fort model, but inside is ticking the same cal. 1600 – a modified Valjoux cal. 65. monopusher chronograph movement. It features a very cool dial with some true military measurements on it – on the outer rim there is a telemeter scale, inside of it a minute scale, and a tachymeter snail curled around the dial center, allowing to measure speeds between 20 and 500 units per hour. The minute and hour hands are breguet type in magnificent shade of blue and the chronograph hand is a contrasting red. The case is 40 mm, gold plated (20 micron) and has fixed lugs, shows normal wear for a watch from the 30s on it – minor discoloration on the edges of the lugs, scratches here and there. Overall the condition is good and the watch is a very valuable addition to any collection. Serviced in 10.2019 and ticking strong. Comes on a new brown Lizard grain leather strap that matches the watch nicely.

Covered by a limited warranty of 6 months, starting on the date of purchase.
