Graham is a Swiss-based manufacturer of Haute horology that celebrates historical British watchmaking, as well as British culture in general. It’s named after George Graham, the master clockmaker credited with various horological and astronomical inventions, who lived and worked on Fleet Street, London. Graham’s watches are targeted at the free spirits who are uninterested in convention, and the brand’s designs stand in firm confirmation of its philosophy.
The watch on offer here, for example, presents us with one such design. The Chronofighter Prodive Chronograph is, to put it bluntly, a big boy’s watch. It comes equipped with an angular 45mm case fashioned out of stainless steel and sports some impressively large lugs. The dial is reminiscent of a superyacht submarine cockpit and carries the sporty aesthetic one would expect to find therein. Every detail on both the case and the dial is blocky and palpable, which makes the watch feel totally unique in comparison to other modern divers. The finishing of each individual element is outstanding and plays into the watch’s luxurious demeanor very well. Make no mistake, however, The Chronofighter Prodive is a full-fledged professional diving instrument. The icing on the cake – it comes equipped with Graham’s signature lever-pusher, which starts, stops, and resets the chronograph. Since it was strategically placed on the left side of the watch, its added size doesn’t get in the way of wearability. The Chronofighter Prodive is powered by the Graham caliber G1750 – a self-winding chronograph movement with 25 jewels and a power reserve of 46 hours.
