Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph 41.5 Pink Gold ref. Q1752440 / 146.2.25 – Full set

While brands like Rolex and Omega have garnered recognition that has made them known to practically everybody inside and outside watch enthusiasts’ circles, there’s a family of brands that have remained less popular yet are more highly valued by discerning watch connoisseurs. The watch on offer here was made by one of those brands – Jaeger-LeCoultre. Due to its history of producing high-quality movements, parts, and tools for brands such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe, JLC is popularly referred to as the watchmaker’s watchmaker.

The JLC Master Compressor Chronograph Q1752440 (also known as 146.2.25) is prime example from the renowned brand that exudes luxury and sophistication. It features a 41.5 mm case, made out of polished 18k Pink Gold – quite stunning, but not only that – thanks to the models iconic screw-down crown and buttons it provides 100 m of water resistance. The Q1752440 also has a dark grey dial with date display at 3 o’clock and three large subdials, perfectly complemented by the aggressive trapezoid hour indices and rose gold hour and minute hands. The chronograph and timekeeping functions are backed by the in-house caliber 751 movement – a real workhorse with 41 jewels and 65 hours of power reserve. Sure enough the caseback on this “tool watch” is solid one and it is engraved with the Master Compressor medalion, adding an extra touch of elegance to this already impressive watch.
