Vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros Gold and Steel Q Quartz ref. 31600225 – Serviced & Polished, 1980s

While brands like Rolex and Omega have garnered recognition that has made them known to practically everybody inside and outside watch enthusiasts’ circles, there’s a family of brands that have remained less popular yet more highly valued by truly discerning watch connoisseurs. The watch on offer here was made by one of those brands – Jaeger-LeCoultre. Ever since Antoine LeCoultre made horological history by creating the first instrument to measure the micron in 1884, JLC hasn’t stopped innovating, all the while keeping to the highest standards in Swiss watchmaking. Due to its history of producing movements, parts, and tools for brands such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe, the company is popularly referred to as the watchmaker’s watchmaker.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros comes equipped with a 35 mm gold-and-steel hexagonal case and an integrated stainless steel bracelet with golden ornaments. The watch’s design is an obvious nod to the designs of Genta’s Nautilus and Royal Oak, yet it doesn’t feel like a knockoff; on the contrary, it stands out as a genuine compliment to Patek and AP. The dial is mesmerizing textured one with silver lining. The symmetry of its applied indices and minimalist hands is only interrupted by the date window at 3 o’clock. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros is powered by the JLC cal. 625 – a 6-jewel Swiss Quartz movement.
Our offering is in excellent condition and comes equipped with a brand new battery. It was just serviced & polished per OEM specs by our master watchmaker and is working splendidly.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty, starting on the date of purchase.
