Created in 1945, the Datejust was the first self-winding waterproof Chronometer wristwatch to display the date at the 3 o’clock position. Its pioneering aesthetic has since had an enormous cultural impact and, along with its revolutionary features, has elevated the model to the status of a horological icon. To put it plainly, the Datejust is the seminal classic watch.
The example on offer here – ref. 126300 – represents a contemporary interpretation of the timeless concept.
The watch comes equipped with a 41 mm stainless steel Oyster case, which provides water resistance down to 100m (330 feet), and a smooth, mirror-polished bezel. The white dial is beautifully simple and easily legible and features white gold Roman numeral indices, which complement the bright steel around it. The only disturbance to the its otherwise perfect symmetry is brought on by the Cyclops-magnified date display at 3 o’clock. Thanks to the new concealed attachment system, the all-steel Jubilee bracelet transitions seamlessly into the case, making for a very dapper look.
The ref. 126300 is powered by the latest generation caliber 3235 self-winding movement, which boasts a power reserve of 70 hours.
The watch was just professionally polished and is in excellent cosmetic condition. Watch only, ticking per specs.
The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
