The retrograde function is a difficult one to pull off since its hand has to move fluidly in one direction but jump swiftly back to its starting point once it has reached the end of the indicator. That’s precisely why it serves as a mark of distinction for those brands that take pride in their R&D and craftsmanship. Coincidentally, Piere Kunz is just one such brand. Having formerly worked under Frank Muller, the eponymous watchmaker might not have centuries of experience, but he has already gone further than most. The watch on offer here demonstrates that through both its design and its functionality.
Not only does the ref PKA 001 SR incorporate a retrograde seconds complication powered by the impressive Pierre Kunz cal. PK 2001-1520 B, it gives a masterclass in watch design to boot. A tastefully executed black and white dial is encased in an understated White Gold coin-edged case, resulting in a look that is at the same time traditional and modern. At 41 mm in diameter, the watch wears discreetly, yet it feels substantial on the wrist. The icing on the cake would have to be that it comes outfitted with a quality grey leather strap that complements the muted luster of the gold case.
Our offering is brand new & comes in a full set of boxes and papers.
The watch is covered by 2 years of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
