Pierre Kunz Retrograde Seconds Moonphase 41 White Gold ref. PKA 007 SRL – NEW

Because of its jumping hand, the Retrograde function is a notoriously tricky one to pull off. The same goes for the Moonphase complication, but it is by way of its sheer complexity that it is difficult to incorporate into a movement. Both these contraptions (in the best possible sense of the word) are grounded in the watchmaking traditions of old, with the first retrograde wristwatch having been constructed by Vacheron Constantin in the 1930s and the first Moon phase complication appearing in astronomical cathedral clocks as early as the Middle Ages.
The timepiece on offer here integrates both these impressive feats of horology and thus is itself quite the mechanical accomplishment. Pier Kunz might not have centuries of experience below his belt, but the PKA 007 SRL proves that he has already gone further than most. Behind the complicated yet classy dial – inside the understated white gold coin-edged case – a highly-modified nickel-finished cal 2892-A2 lever movement with a Glucydur balance spring ticks fervently away. At 41 mm in diameter, the watch wears discreetly, yet it feels substantial on the wrist because of its weight.
Our offering is brand new & comes in a full set of boxes and papers.

The watch is covered by 2 years of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
