Omega takes its maritime legacy very seriously, and rightly so – ever since the Seamaster was introduced in 1948, the brand has been at the very forefront of deep-water timekeeping and sporty-yet-dapper aesthetics. The watch on offer here, therefore, is backed by a rich heritage in terms of both functionality and style.
The Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M features a familiar-looking stainless steel case, whose sleek profile is highlighted by a mixture of brushed and polished surfaces. The case’s muted luster complements the applied rhodium-plated dagger indices and sword-shaped hands and contrasts the blue rubber strap. The blue dial is distinguished by a horizontal teak pattern that draws from the wooden decks of luxury sailboats. Its symmetry is left undisturbed by the date display at the 6 o’clock position. Since this version of the Aqua Tera boasts a water-resistance rating of 150 m, it would much prefer the beach to the boardroom – but then again, wouldn’t we all? The Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M is powered by the Master Chronometer Co-Axial calibre 8900, which is certified at the industryโs highest standard by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
