First released in 1952, the Constellation has been a mainstay of Omega’s lineup for decades now, with its modern iterations proving just as popular – if not more so – than their predecessors.
The version on offer here, the Constellation Double Eagle, looks to the past for inspiration, mirroring the aesthetic of 1970s Connies. It comes equipped with a balanced 38 mm tonneau case, a gold bezel engraved with Roman numerals, and a silver dial embellished with a delicate silk-like texture and protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The gold indices, OMEGA logo, and Constellation star ornament are all applied, of course, and they are complemented by a set of sleek hands and a date display at the 3 o’clock position, which gently breaks up the dial’s symmetry. Much like the rest of the watch, the mono-rang bracelet draws from the Connies of old, but it showcases a thoroughly modern construction and a virtually flawless finish, as do the case and dial.
Visible through the sapphire display caseback, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 2500 is confidently ticking away.
Our offering is in very good condition but comes without any of its original boxes or papers.
The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
