First released in 1952, the Omega Constellation broke new ground for luxury watches, quickly becoming synonymous with attention to detail and forward-thinking design. The 1960s model on offer here makes it easy to see why the Connie went on to become a fundamental part of the brand’s line-up.
The 2852-6 SC draws the eye in with faceted shark-tooth indices, which adorn a beautiful crosshair dial. The sword-shaped hands are fittingly aggressive, slicing through the hours and minutes with unwavering resolve, and the second hand’s movement is satisfyingly fluid. The stainless steel case has more angles than an octagon but thankfully employs them to greater aesthetic effect, giving the watch a distinct presence on the wrist. Underneath the iconic golden Constellation medallion, the recently serviced in-house caliber 505 is ticking steadily away.
Our offering is in good condition – with some significant cosmetic flaws (please consult the photographs) – and comes outfitted with an original Omega Beads-of-Rice bracelet ref. 1503 with 70 endlinks.
The watch is covered by 6 months of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
