Introduced in 1952, the Constellation has maintained its prominent status in Omega’s repertoire for decades, and its contemporary renditions have proved to be just as coveted, if not more so, than their predecessors. Enter the Constellation Chronograph 39 – a captivating timepiece that pays homage to the iconic 1970s Connies yet reinterprets their aesthetics for the modern era.

Crafted with precision, the 39mm tonneau case in stainless steel sets the stage for what can only be described as a refined timekeeping experience. The “clawed” bezel, adorned with engraved Roman numerals, embraces the sleek satin finish of the case and bracelet, complementing the intricately textured blue dial beneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Adorned with a delicate pattern reminiscent of silk, it is host to a set of applied steel indices, the OMEGA logo, and the Constellation star ornament, as well as three symmetrical subdials for the chronograph, which harmonize with the bright luster of the steel case. Of course, the subtle date display at 6 o’clock is a welcome addition.

The mono-rang bracelet, inspired by vintage Constellations, boasts contemporary construction and impeccable finish, making for an exceptionally comfortable wearing experience.

Inside, protected by the solid caseback, the ever-practical OMEGA 1270 is ticking confidently. Despite being a quartz-powered movement, it incorporates a mechanical chronograph module.
