IWC Aquatimer Deep Two 46 ref. IW354702 – Depth Gauge – Travel box & Card

When a company like IWC Schaffhausen sets out to create a dive watch, you can be sure that they won’t settle for anything less than a revolutionary timepiece for the ages. The GST Deep One proved that back in 1999, and the watch on offer here – the Aquatimer Deep Two – builds upon its predecessor’s impressive achievements.
To get the obvious stuff out of the way, the Deep Two is the largest member of the Aquatimer family, measuring 46 mm in diameter at a height of 15.5 mm. Its case is robust and well-built, and it employs a mixture of finishes that serve to highlight its complex architecture. The dial is equally impressive, featuring many striking flourishes and details that lend it an alluring aesthetic, which the convex AR-coated sapphire crystal further enhances. Aesthetics, however, are not what the Deep Two is really about – it is functionality. Just like the GST Deep one, the Aquatimer Deep Two incorporates a mechanical depth gauge, which shows the current dive depth along with the maximum depth reached during previous dives – a complication that both professional and recreational divers will find useful. The unidirectional bezel features a tachymeter scale inscribed with Arabic numerals that measure dive time in five-minute increments, and it comes with a sapphire cap that allows it to be fully lumed – yet another testament to IWC’s commitment to legibility and practicality.
Behind the beautifully engraved caseback, the 21-jewel IWC caliber 30110 is ticking steadily at 28800 vph, with an approximate power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. Although hidden, the movement showcases both Côtes de Genève and perlage decorations.
Our offering is in very good condition and comes outfitted with its OEM vulcanized rubber strap – worn, but with plenty of life left. Original IWC card dated 2019 and IWC travel box.
