It’s hard to ignore the feeling that modern Haute horology has largely let go of the traditionalist aesthetics of the past and opted for a more experimental and aggressive design approach. Many of the idiosyncratic, genre-defining models of the last 20 years share between themselves a raw, sporty appearance that can only be likened to that of an exposed supercar engine. The Bichrono Tech SII Limited edition by DeLaCour stands in firm confirmation of the trend. Everything about it – from the 3-Dimensional textures and intricate chainmail patterns of the dial(s) to the case’s shape and fit – roars with the confidence of a V12. The two dials and their respective sub-dials are like a speedometer and a tachometer working in unison. Their contrasting green and red seconds hands make it easy to tell them apart and further underline the watch’s dynamic look. Each dial is powered by a separate DC cal. 241 automatic movement and thus comes with its own, independent chronograph. As is apparent thanks to the display case backs, both movements have been expertly finished. The model is Individually crafted, made as a Limited edition of 111 pieces and ours is numbered 12/111. The MSRP was 21000 CHF. It is in great condition, ticking very good and comes in a full set of boxes and papers, equipped with an OEM hand-stitched crocodile strap and its original rubber strap.
Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase.
