Breitling Chronomat Evolution Chronometer ref. B13356 – Gold & Steel, Blue dial, Polished

Breitling SA was founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling – a passionate and innovative watchmaker known for his sharp business sense. In 1915 – barely a year after he had passed – his son, Gaston, proved he had inherited his father’s pioneering spirit by introducing one of the first-ever wrist chronographs with a separate push-piece above the crown. The brand’s innovations continued well into the following decades, and in 1952 – with Willy Breitling in the driver’s (or rather pilot’s) seat – the Navitimer made its debut. The model proved extremely popular among pilots and aircraft manufacturers and would later come to signify the beginning of Breitling’s avionic legacy. This legacy, however, started even earlier, in 1941, with the introduction of the Chronomat – the first watch to feature the slide-rule bezel that the Navitimer would become known for.
The watch on offer here, the Chronomat Evolution, represents a contemporary, in this case quite luxurious take on the iconic model. Its design is immediately recognizable as bearing all of Breitling’s visual and functional staples, such as the distinct brushed steel bezel with riders fashioned out of gold and the mirror-polished Chronomat case, but the addition of gold elements across the latter and the dial makes it stand out from other iterations. The deep blue dial serves as the perfect backdrop for the glistening gold indices, hands, and subdials, lending this timepiece an aura that has to be experienced to be understood fully.
Inside, behind the stamped caseback, the Breitling cal. B13 is ticking accurately away, protected by its versatile, masterfully-constructed casing.
The watch was just polished and is in excellent cosmetic condition. It comes with its original box, regrettably without any papers. Ticking per specs.

Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year.

All our watches undergo a thorough inspection and are sold in fully-authentic condition. Naturally, this includes all external and internal components. They are also serviced where needed and tested for waterproofness where it applies.

Vintage watches are checked against our database of original examples to ensure no components have been replaced or tampered with over the years, and they are serviced using strictly OEM parts. It’s no secret that most vintage watches sold online are re-dialed, overpolished, or feature movement parts with questionable origins, and those are all practices we sincerely abhor.

You can rest assured that any exceptions to the above will be disclosed in the respective timepiece’s descriptive text.

ChronoTimepieces’s service including, without limitation, our website, all information, content and any features made available to you through our Site are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Our directors, employees, agents, partners and content providers do not warrant that the service will be secure or available at any particular time or location.
Unless agreed otherwise in an individual case, ChronoTimepieces does not give any guarantees as to the characteristics of the goods which go beyond the statutory warranty rights or any other warranties.

  • All our watches come with a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase. The cover of said warranty is limited to the function, continuous operation and fair timekeeping and it does not cover misuse, neglect, abuse, water damage or any other form of wearer-inflicted damage.
  • Some used watches might still be covered by leftover Manufacturer warranty valid to any AD (Authorized Dealer) – please check the specific description of the watch you are buying.
  • Some new watches might be covered by Manufacturer warranty, usually activated upon purchase and valid to any AD (Authorized Dealer) – please check the specific description of the watch you are buying.
  • For vintage watches (we consider any watch older than 20 years vintage) time keeping is guaranteed within reasonable limits – ±20 sec/day, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the item’s description.
